How many more donors does Scotland need?

Every day, Scotland needs around 450 blood donors to meet the needs of patients in hospitals across the country. However, fewer people are donating than before, and that puts pressure on Scotland’s blood supply.

Making a difference

We’re thrilled to announce that the ‘Give Blood, Save Lives’ campaign created in partnership with Highland News Group has been shortlisted for the 2025 Making a Difference Award.

We're implementing an improved process for blood and plasma donors requiring a Malaria Antibody Test.

At this time, we particularly need male AB donors to come forward.
