Our aim is to provide the highest level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner for the benefit of all patients in NHS Scotland.  To do this, we have ten customer care standards, establishing the service all members of the public should expect when interacting with Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service staff.

  1. Approach me with a smile and a greeting.
  2. Let me know who you are by wearing your uniform, name badge and introducing yourself to me.
  3. Be polite to me and treat me with courtesy, fairness, honesty and respect.
  4. Treat me as an individual.
  5. Respect all aspects of my confidentiality.
  6. Provide me with clear, accurate and helpful information and explain to me why there are delays.
  7. If you cannot help, please find someone who can.
  8. Keep the area where I give blood safe clean, tidy and clutter free.
  9. Be consistent and go above and beyond my expectations.
  10. Listen to my feedback and continually review your customer service.
