We use Google Analytics and Google Optimize software to collect information about how you use scotblood.co.uk. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting your needs and to help us make improvements.

- which variation of a page you’ve visited when we are testing out small design changes using Google Optimize
Any information on site usage is received in a way that we can’t identify individuals. For example, we never receive your name or address.

How we use your data when you contact us
The Scotblood website uses web forms to collect personal information when you submit an online enquiry or contact us. This information is used only for the purpose stated on the form.
Form submissions are stored securely within the website and are manually deleted every two weeks. Any information shared onward through email for operational handling is deleted after six months.
You have the right to access your data, request corrections where information is inaccurate or incomplete, and, in some circumstances, object to how your data is used. Requests are handled promptly and in line with data protection legislation.
You may also request erasure of your data. However, SNBTS is legally required to retain some information to meet blood safety and traceability obligations. Where erasure is not possible, this will be explained and alternative safeguards, such as correction, will be applied where appropriate.
