Changes to donor deferral criteria will allow more people the opportunity to give blood

One Edinburgh family show how much two blood donors can do.

From 15 July 2017, donors living in ML5 and ML6 postcodes will be able to give blood as usual.

In the last six years the demand for blood in Scotland has reduced by more than 20%. Consequently we require fewer collection sessions, so you may notice we are not visiting certain towns and villages as often as we have in the past.
