The First Minister, a regular donor, donated blood at Edinburgh Donor Centre on Monday to raise awareness and encourage more blood donors to come forward.

The First Minister met representatives of the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society (SABS) to hear about the Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign, which promotes blood donation across Scotland’s diverse communities and brings together civic, faith and health partners. Other community representatives also attended.

SNBTS would like to thank everyone who participated, including SABS and all representatives who work hard to recruit blood donors from their communities in Scotland.

As Scotland needs more blood donors, we’d love you to get involved – please do reach out to us to find out more about how your group or community can help support Scotland’s patients.
