Make giving blood a team effort

Share

Why not make a difference to your community by organising a group booking at your local donor centre?

Throughout Scotland, many supporters help patients by giving blood with their team or company - we encourage businesses, sports teams and community groups to get involved.

I'm delighted to say that we received excellent care while donating blood. The process was simple and easy to understand. We were in and out in no time, some couldn't believe how quick the process was and it was all finished off with a quick tea and biscuit, or two. Chris Mathieson, Granite City Brawlers

Giving blood with your colleagues and team mates.

The easiest way to give blood as a group is to organise a group appointment at your regional donor centre. We’re always keen to welcome group bookings at our donor centres in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.   By doing this we are able to offer people the chance to give blood together, at a time that suits everyone, in the comfort of the donor centre.

It’s really easy to organise. We’ll assign you a co-ordinator to liaise with you, and organise specific time slots especially for your group and, of course, make sure there are plenty biscuits and a cuppa afterwards.

Scotland needs new blood donors, every single year.

Each donation could be available within the next 24 hours to help save or improve the life of up to three people in Scotland. There are a number of reasons why anyone could need a life-saving blood transfusion or other blood products. Find out more about what happens when you give blood - and whether you are eligible.

Thank you for supporting Scotland’s patients – we can’t wait for you to get involved.
