Inverness Donor Centre: Now open on Fridays

Share

From 20th August 2021, Inverness Donor Centre will be open on Fridays in addition to the usual Monday and Thursday sessions.

New opening times will be:

  • Monday: 2:30pm-5pm and 6pm-7:30pm
  • Thursday: 2:30pm-5pm and 6pm-7:30pm
  • Friday: 9am-11:30am and 12.40pm-2:20pm

Additional sessions may also be added to help meet the demands of Scotland's patients, as and when required.

Inverness Donor Centre now needs to welcome approximately 140 - 160 donors through it's doors every week to help maintain hospital blood stocks. To help us achieve this we’ll now also open weekly on Fridays. We hope that the increased range of opening times which now covers mornings, afternoons and evenings, will give our donors more flexibility for future appointments.

It is hoped that the increased range of opening times will give donors more flexibility for future appointments.

Since the start of 2021, over 4000 donations have been collected at Inverness Donor Centre. 7% of these donations have been from donors giving blood for the first time. We’d like to say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

If you never given blood before, or we’ve not seen you in a while, we’d be delighted to give you a warm welcome.

  • Please make an appointment to give blood at Inverness Blood Donor Centre. You can book your appointment by creating your online donor account at scotblood.co.uk, contacting us online, or by phoning 0345 90 90 999 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm).
