Dundee Donor Centre (Marryat Hall): Change in opening hours

Share

Donation times are changing at Dundee Donor Centre, currently based at Marryat Hall, Dundee city centre.

In March 2020, the donor centre was temporarily relocated to the city centre to make it as safe and easy as possible for people to give blood throughout the pandemic. Since the move, we've welcomed a staggering 2,821 donors from across the area to give blood, 10% of these donors giving blood for the very first time.  From the bottom of our hearts we’d like to say thank you.

As restrictions start lifting and social distancing becomes part of the new normal, Dundee Donor Centre will remain in the Marryat Hall. Every single week, we need 165 donors across the region to come and give blood.

To help us do this, we're extending our hours to now open Wednesday afternoons.

Dundee Donor Centre now needs to welcome 50 donors on a Tuesday, 70 on a Wednesday and 45 on a Friday to help maintain blood stocks.  Giving blood is classed as essential travel, and we would like to encourage Dundee blood donors to continue to give blood over the coming weeks and months. It's really easy to book your appointment online.

From Tuesday 1 September our opening times will change to:

Session times

  • Monday: Closed
  • Tuesday: 12:40pm-3:10pm, and 4:20pm-7pm
  • Wednesday: 9:50am-12:20pm and 1:30pm-3:40pm
  • Thursday: Closed
  • Friday:  : 9:50am-12:20pm and 1:30pm-3:40pm

If you've never given blood before, or we’ve not seen you in a while don't let that stop you making an appointment. We will be delighted to welcome you.
