Winter vaccines: Can I give blood?

Share

It's that time of year again when you may be getting your vaccines.

The good news is, if youive had a flu or Covid vaccine, or had the shingles vaccine through the routine vaccination programme, you can give blood immediately provided you’re feeling well and have had no adverse side effects from the vaccination.

Have a look and see when we’re next in your area - our blood donor centres in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness in particular have plenty of appointments, and we’d love to see you.

  • Make an appointment to give blood using your Online Donor Account
  • Alternatively, get in touch by email, online form, or by calling us on 0345 90 90 999 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
