Dundee blood donation sessions are moving back to Dundee Blood Donor Centre, Level 8 Ninewells Hospital.

Dundee Donor Centre's temporary move to Marryat Hall City Square is coming to an end. Over the next few weeks blood donation sessions will gradually return to Ninewells Hospital, with sessions being held in both locations for a limited period. Please make sure you know where your appointment to give blood is taking place.

As lockdown restrictions start to ease we look forward to welcoming you back in the centre from Wednesday 30 June on a gradual basis. You will be able to give blood on a Wednesday between 9.50am - 12.20pm and 1.30pm - 3.40pm.

From Wednesday 4 August all blood donation session will be back in Dundee Donor Centre, Ninewells Hospital.

In March 2020, Dundee Donor Centre was temporarily relocated to the Marryat Hall, Dundee City Centre and we'd like to thank the 8911 donors who have attended there to give blood throughout the pandemic and the 992 new donors who came along and gave their first blood donation, we look forward to giving you a warm welcome in Dundee Donor Centre,  Level 8,  Ninewells Hospital over the coming days, weeks and months.

Gwen Fenton, Donor Recruitment Officer for Dundee, said: "During summer 2021, we would like to encourage the community of Angus, Tayside, Fife and Perthshire to help us and book an appointment to give blood. Hospitals are currently very busy with elective surgery and 24% of the blood collected is used for surgical procedures. We aim to retain six days of stock at any time to meet the requirements of Patients in Scotland. If you can spare an hour of your time this summer, we'd love to see you.
