Glasgow road closures during UCI Cycling World Championships

Share

From 3rd – 13th August 2023, the UCI Cycling World Championships will take place in Glasgow and across Scotland. There will be major road closures in Glasgow city centre on specific race days.

Glasgow Donor Centre will remain open during this time and will rely on donors making an extra special effort to ensure our blood stock levels are unaffected.

We ask all donors to allow extra travel time within Glasgow City Centre to arrive at Glasgow Donor Centre. Donors can walk between Buchanan Street Underground Station and Queen Street Train Station to Glasgow Donor Centre at all points over the event, but crossing places between Central Station to Glasgow Donor Centre will be limited. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you.

Current blood stock levels across Scotland Monday 29 April

We aim to retain 6 days of stocks at any time in order to meet the requirements of patients in Scotland.
