Supporting Scotland: Scratchcard Wednesday and the Tartan Army give blood

Share

We were excited to welcome the brilliant Scottish band Scratchcard Wednesday to Glasgow Donor Centre recently. The band are supporting our 'Yes Sir I'm a Donor' campaign, in the hopes more people will come forward to donate blood throughout the World Cup period.

Blood donations can dip during busy events, and we saw a 20% drop in donations when Scotland qualified for the World Cup. That means we’re looking for as many people as possible to commit to donating on the days before and after Scotland’s matches.

Scratchcard Wednesday's message is also particularly important for young people.  You can start giving blood aged 17, so we need more young people to come forward to help maintain a sufficient blood supply for decades to come.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Tyrese and Dexter of Scratchcard Wednesday for joining us and supporting our campaign.
