New ‘Give plasma’ and ‘Give platelets’ graphics
Recognising all the ways donors save lives
We’re proud to unveil two new additions to our family of donation graphic identifiers: 'Give plasma' and 'Give platelets'.
These new designs are inspired by our iconic 'Give Blood' identity and reflect the vital role that plasma and platelet donors play in saving lives across Scotland.
We are also advertising on local radio for plasma donors from 1-28 September 2025.

Why this matters:
Plasma and platelets are used to treat patients with serious conditions such as cancer, immune disorders, and severe burns. As demand grows, we need to recruit 1,000 new plasma donors every year to ensure we can continue to provide life-saving treatments.
By introducing these new graphic identifiers, we aim to:
- Recognise the incredible generosity of plasma and platelet donors
- Raise awareness of the need for all types of blood component donations
- Encourage more people to consider becoming a donor
You’ll start seeing these graphics more often - on our website, social media, posters, and in donor centres. They’re a visual reminder that there’s more than one way for donors to save lives.
