It’s Euros Time – And We Need You

Share

During big events like the European Championships, donations can drop off as lots of people are busy watching and celebrating the games.

However, blood has a shelf life of only 35 days and cannot be stockpiled. This means we are asking everyone to make an extra special effort to donate in the run up to the tournament and during the tournament.

Scotland has made it to the Euros in Germany this June - and we know lots of people will travel there.

We know the team will get Scotland's full support on the field. However, Scotland's patients need supporters too - before, during and after the tournament.

People like you are vital in ensuring Scotland's bloodstocks don't take a dive. Every donation you make could save or improve the lives of up to three people - a hat-trick for Scotland.

Why not show your support by wearing one of our 'Yes Sir, I'm a donor' stickers after you've given blood.

We are already receiving lots of support from football supporters up and down the country. Could you help by organising a group of your friends or colleagues to give blood at this time?

Partick Thistle Captain Brian Graham and fans pledge their support.

So, before the tournament kicks off, could you spare some time to donate? And if you’re not into football it’s important you book your appointment. There has never been a better time to give blood!

Thank you.
