Important - Where to give blood in Dundee

Share

December give blood sessions at The Overgate.

We are currently conducting repairs to Dundee donor centre.  From Tuesday 29th of November until Wednesday 28th of December, we have an alternative donating venue at The Overgate (second floor), High Street, Dundee, DD1 1UQ.

We are open on eight days and hope to welcome 300 people to give blood at The Overgate.  This means Dundee donors, and The Overgate will be essential in securing Scotland’s blood supply over the festive period.

We are offering a variety of opening hours. The Overgate is perfectly situated for giving blood whilst shopping or other festive activities. We would particularly like to welcome the following people:

  • New donors – you can start giving blood at age 17. There has never been a better time to register and give your first donation.
  • Regular donors who normally give at Dundee Donor Centre.
  • During December, we are encouraging as many donors as possible with the Group O or A to come forward.
  • Group bookings – we’d particularly like to welcome groups of donors. If you would like to donate with work colleagues, friends, or club members please do contact us – we can organise a group booking for you.
  • Students – school, college and university pupils are very, very welcome.
  • If you’ve previously given at the Marryat Hall, we’d love to welcome you to The Overgate.
  • O Negative donors, whose blood can safely be given to anyone in an emergency, will be vital this December.
Blood donors will be able to give blood at The Overgate Shopping Centre.

We are making adjustments to Dundee donor centre, so platelet donations can continue. We also plan to offer a limited number of blood donation appointments on Sunday 11 December.

Please do help support NHS Scotland this Christmas, by booking your appointment now.
