Can you give blood at a donor centre this week?
In the last 6 days we have lost 656 donations due to weather disruption. With the extreme weather continuing across the North of Scotland, it’s more important than ever to keep blood stocks healthy.
- We have plenty of spaces in our Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness Donor Centres over the next seven days
- Aberdeen Blood Donor Centre is open today (Thursday 8 January) for walk-ins
- Sessions are going ahead wherever possible.
- Systems are in place for contacting donors if your session is cancelled
What can I do?
- If it is safe for you to do so, please make an appointment to give blood at your local donor centre
- We’re especially appealing to O positive, O negative, A positive, and B negative donors - but all blood types are needed.
- If you're booked in to give blood, please check our session searcher for the latest information before you leave for your appointment, as we continue to face disruption
- Our Facebook and Instagram pages also display the most up to date information.
How do I book in?
- You can book in online using your Online Donor Account
- Alternatively, call us on 0345 90 90 999 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm), use our Contact us form, or email us on nss.snbtsenquiry@nhs.scot
