Donate in December: Give blood, platelets or plasma for Scotland

This year, Scotland needs 15,000 people to donate in December.

This includes nearly 6,000 in our donor centres in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness - 38% of all donations nationwide. And every single donation matters.

Even though it's a time of celebration, the need for blood doesn’t take a break. Surgeries continue. People still face illness and trauma. Newborn babies, cancer patients, and those with complex conditions rely on blood, platelets, and plasma every day.

But during December, donations can drop - and you can help stop this happening.

By booking an appointment to donate this December, you’ll help keep Scotland’s blood supply strong at one of the most challenging times of the year.

And if you can, bring a friend or family member who hasn’t donated yet. Together, you can make sure patients get the care they need.
