Do we have your number?

Share

As an active blood donor, it is really helpful if we can contact you via text when we need to. That is why we're asking you to check we have your current mobile number.

Increasingly during the pandemic we have needed to get in touch with our donors at short notice. The easiest and quickest way to do this is via text message. This could be to give last minute information about the status of a blood donation session, or simply to remind you of your appointment. We frequently use text messaging to let you know of pop-up sessions or sessions that have plenty of spaces and we need to fill them.

However, more recently with bad weather and challenges with staffing our sessions we have relied more frequently on a text message to let donors know that their appointment is cancelled as a session is not going ahead. We always want to let you know what's happening and give you as much notice as possible.

  • The easiest way to keep you donor contact details up to date is via your online donor account.  Using this online system means you have access 24/7 so can book your appointment, view your scheduled appointments, cancel or update your details at a time that suit you. If you've not got one, its really easy to set one up.
  • You can also update your details via our change of address form on our website or by giving us a call on 0345 90 90 999.
