Aged 16-24? Tell us your thoughts.

This week the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) is kicking off the largest survey of 16-24yr olds that it has ever undertaken, in order to better understand their ideas on blood donation.

If you're aged 16-24, we would love to hear your views on blood donation.

And if you know someone aged 16-24 - please forward this story onto them.

The link to the survey is:

It takes around four minutes to complete, and is designed to find out more about what would encourage young people to give blood regularly – and what you feel are your barriers to doing so.

Your answers will help us to provide the best possible service and environment for you. With only 3% of the eligible population in Scotland giving blood, we are always looking for new recruits.

Your input will help us learn how to encourage more new blood donors and continue to support patients in hospitals across Scotland.

  • Deadline to complete the survey is Friday 9th October 2020.

Current blood stock levels across Scotland Tuesday 20 October

We aim to retain 6 days of stocks at any time in order to meet the requirements of patients in Scotland.
