Duncan's story

Share

Duncan from Lochgilphead explains why he is grateful to everyone who gives blood after he received transfusions during cancer treatment.

"I was diagnosed with bladder cancer six years ago and received three units of blood during my treatment. Everything went well and I’m now down to a yearly cystoscopy check.  The only downside is that I am now no longer able to give blood myself. Before my illness, I reached over 60 donations.

"Thank you to the medical team who helped me through my operation, and also of course to everyone who gives blood."

Cheers to Duncan for sharing his story. We hope you have a very merry Christmas.
