How Blood Saves Lives

white arrowSusan's Story
Susan "I recently got the all clear and I’d like to thank blood donors for helping to save my life"

Susan, 54, Edinburgh – Susan is a married mum of two. In April 2009, out of the blue, Susan was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Susan says, “I was in hospital for four weeks, and had to receive chemotherapy.

My chemotherapy required nine units of blood and three doses of platelets, so I would not be here today without blood donors. I recently got the all clear and I’d like to thank blood donors for helping to save my life.” Return to case studies >>
