Scotland needs People Like You!

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) are proud to have blood donors from across the country star in their new outdoor campaign, and have captured their reaction to seeing themselves in print.

The striking campaign, which runs in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow and Inverness features photographs of blood donors and supporters on 6 sheets and buses. Virginia, Steph, Martha, Laura and Jill were all delighted to have their reactions filmed. Jake, Brian, Mac, Aaron, Anna, Gary, Kaylee, Nayan and Abhijeet also participated.

Passionate about blood donation, they have already participated in the SNBTS new TV advertisement, and were thrilled to see the campaign extended to Outdoor in their home cities.

We are very grateful to donors who are real heroes to us.

We are very grateful to donors who are real heroes to us. We hope this campaign will promote awareness of our donor centres across the country. Since the Pandemic, demand for blood has increased by 7% so donors are being asked to make an extra special effort to give blood at this time. We’d particularly like to encourage businesses and work places who could support our corporate collection programme to contact us – we can facilitate group bookings for you and support you with recruitment materials.

Virginia from Glasgow was delighted to be part of the new campaign.

We are very proud of this campaign which embeds the communitarian and altruistic principles of blood donation firmly in Scotland’s cities. The reaction of donors seeing themselves was amazing and we hope this encourages many different types of people to book an appointment and donate. We’d love to welcome you.
