Oban High School S6 pupils encourage classmates to give blood

Having given blood for the first time last year, Katherine Halewood and Amy Grundie are keen to encourage their fellow pupils to do the same. 

Katherine and Amy, both 6th year pupils at Oban High School, shared their experiences of giving blood for the first time during a visit from the SNBTS recruitment team last week.

Katherine, who plans to study medicine, is aware of the vital role blood donors can play in helping to save and improve lives. While Amy explained that she was inspired to give blood by her mum who is a long standing donor.

We were delighted to welcome 13 senior pupils to The Corran Hall yesterday and hope to see more of them giving blood for the first time today!
