Many thanks to the 405 donors who came along to give blood in Thurso on Tuesday 17th January. SNBTS were particularly delighted to welcome 22 first time donors from Thurso High School. Special thanks also go to players and committee members from Thurso Academicals Football Club for supporting the session together with team mate Murray Coghill. Murray's wife Gemma was rushed to hospital after a major haemorrhage three weeks after the birth of their first child Sam. Gemma received 17 units of blood and blood related products, which helped save her life. Murray said, "We are a very close group of players and I am proud to call these guys my team mates knowing that possibly just one pint donated by our club could make a massive difference to someone else's life". Murray continued, "What could be a more precious thing to do with your time than save a life?" Becoming a blood donor is quick and simple - register now!
