Donors offered opportunity to complete health check at home

28 June 2012

As part of our continued efforts to improve, we are delighted to let you know about an important change that is being rolled out across all blood donation sessions.

Donors in the North, as well as those in the South East and West of Scotland, will now be sent their donor health check questionnaire to complete at home in advance of their local donating opportunity.

This change was first piloted in Dumfries and Galloway and proved to be extremely popular with donors. By completing the questionnaire in the privacy of their own home, donors save time when they come along to donate.

As part of this change, donors will now be registered on arrival at the session, invited to take a seat anywhere and called by name to start the donation process.

These changes will be rolled out across all parts of Scotland over the coming months.

If you have any questions or feedback about completing the questionnaire at home please contact us.

Staff at the sessions will always be happy to assist any donors who have been unable to bring along a completed questionnaire.
