Blood donor sessions return to Culloden in 2022

Share

SNBTS are delighted to announce that blood donor sessions will return to Culloden in October 2022.

Until summer 2020, donor sessions were held biannually in the area.  Due to changes in our collection plan at that time however, the difficult decision was made to pause visits to the area.  Further to a review of our plan, we are very pleased to be able to resume donor sessions in the area.  The next donor session will take place:

  • Date: Tuesday 11th October 2022
  • Time: 2.30pm - 4.30pm & 5.30pm - 7.30pm
  • Venue: Culloden Academy

If you live in the area and wish to attend, what should you do?

  • You can book your appointment to give blood online now, at scotblood.co.uk
  • Alternatively, book by calling us on 0345 90 90 999 (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday)
  • If you’d like to check you’re eligible to donate (or know you won’t be and want to let us know), please call us on 0345 90 90 999

Why is this happening?

Challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic prompted us to review local give blood sessions.  Since the pandemic, demand for blood has increased, as NHS Scotland is very busy.  We have made changes to our blood collection programme to reflect this. We are delighted to return to Culloden Academy and look forward to giving both new and previous donors from the area a warm welcome.  We need to welcome at least 70 donors along on the day so please do come along and encourage family, friends, and colleagues to donate.

We’d like to thank those planning to attend in advance for their support to patients across Scotland. If you have any questions about this story, please call us on 0345 90 90 999 or email nss.snbtsenquiry@nhs.scot
