Celebrating 60 years of the NHS in Scotland.

SNBTS has been part of the NHS since the foundation of the health service in 1948. The 5th of July 2008 marks the 60th Anniversary of the NHS. This provides an excellent opportunity to reflect on past achievements and acknowledge how far healthcare has evolved over the last six decades. Over the next few months we will add new information, pictures and links to this page. These will let you look back at SNBTS across the decades, at the people, places and developments that led to the transfusion service we have today.

We would also like to give you a chance to look forward to what the future will bring for SNBTS. Click on this link to download the SNBTS 5 year consultation document.
